Devil Square: the new event every 4 hours

The Portal War has left the game. In its place comes the Devil Square, an arena event like MU Online's Devil Square. It happens every 4 hours: at 7 PM, 11 PM, 3 AM, 7 AM, 11 AM and 3 PM (Brasília time), never at the same time as the Golden Invasion.

Five minutes before, a banner at the top of the screen tells you the gate is open. Talk to Charon, the Ferryman, who stands beside the plaza of Lumen and the plaza of Noria. With level 15 or higher and a Devil's Invitation in your bag, he takes you to the arena. The Invitation drops, rarely, from any monster of level 15 or more (about one every 2 hours of hunting) and can be traded.

The arena is a basalt square over the lava, with four gates of fire in its corners. The demons come out of the gates in 4 waves, and every demon is born for one hero, at his level: the first wave comes at your level, the second +3, the third +6 and the fourth +10. So a level 60 hero and a level 260 hero fight together, each against demons of his own level. A demon never strikes anyone as if it were more than 20 levels above him.

After the fourth wave come the Lords of the Square, the Balrog and the Archdemon, one for each hero, at his level +15. In a group they fall much faster.

Every demon is worth points and the scoreboard shows in the corner of the screen. At the end, everyone with at least 12 points gets XP and zen for the points; 1st to 3rd place also win Kundun Boxes +1 and Jewels of Soul or Bless. Whoever dies or leaves the arena is out, but keeps the points. After 25 seconds everyone goes back to town.

The pictures below were taken in the game itself, on a test server, with test heroes. In them the heroes were helped by the server so the demonstration would move quickly; in the real game you do the fighting.

What changed

The Portal War is gone; the Devil Square takes its place, every 4 hours (7 PM, 11 PM, 3 AM, 7 AM, 11 AM and 3 PM Brasília time).
New NPC: Charon, the Ferryman, in Lumen and Noria, takes anyone with a Devil's Invitation (level 15+) to the arena.
New item: the Devil's Invitation, a rare drop from any monster of level 15 or more.
New map: the Devil Square arena, with four gates of fire and no PvP.
