Fiery Abyss: 5 new monsters with skills and the boss Pyrael
The Fiery Abyss felt repetitive: anyone entering the map met almost only Hellhounds, because each kind of monster stayed in its own band of the map. Now every region has a new monster and every kind appears in two interleaved groups. Right at the entrance you meet Hellhounds and Salamanders, and a little further on come Demons, Chimeras and Flame Golems.
New monsters: the Fire Salamander (level 71) and the Ember Chimera (76) in the Fiery Abyss; the Flame Sorceress (82) in the Furnace of Ashes; the Magma Naga (85) in the Sea of Fire; and the Ember Knight (89) in the Ash Plains. Health, strength and XP follow the monsters of similar level on the same map, and each region keeps the same total of monsters.
Each one has a normal attack and a skill with its own animation, used every 8 to 12 seconds: the Salamander spits a cone of fire, the Chimera lets out a roar that makes a ring of fire and slows the hero, the Sorceress rains meteors, the Naga breathes magma and the Knight drives his sword into the ground and makes the ground shake around him. A mark on the ground shows where the skill will land, so you can step out of the area.
New boss: Pyrael, the Phoenix of Darkness (level 80), inspired by MU's Phoenix of Darkness, waits in the obelisks' ritual circle of the Fiery Abyss. She strikes with her talons and uses fire breath, a meteor shower and a dark fire blast that slows. She comes back 30 minutes after being defeated and drops rare items, Chaos Jewel and Kundun Box +1, with a chance of a legendary item. Ignarax, the Crimson Dragon, and Azhur are still on the map.
The pictures below were taken in the game itself, on a test server, with a test hero.
