New wings — and now truly rare
Every wing was drawn again as pixel art, inspired by the wings of MU. The Knight, Wizard and Magic Gladiator wear the Ethereal Wings (cut sapphire crystals), the Abyssal Wings (spiked bat-dragon wings with lava veins and a ruby) and the Celestial Wings (ivory feathers with golden armour and a sun at the centre).
The Elf got a different wing for each tier: Wildwood Wings (emerald leaves with golden veins), Ancestral Wings (white and green feathers held by golden vines) and Regal Wings (a turquoise butterfly with crystal tips). Before, all three shared the same drawing.
The wings were also fitted to the Master look (Blade Master, Grand Master, High Elf and Duel Master). On that look they used to appear almost twice as big and covered the hero; now they have the same proportions as the normal look, stay attached to the back and follow the hero facing front, sideways and away, standing, walking, attacking or flying.
The wingbeat is more majestic: on the downstroke the wings keep their open V instead of flattening into a horizontal bar. The wing icons in the inventory also use the new drawings, and each Elf wing has its own icon.
Wings are now rare and can only be crafted. No boss drops wings any more: the only way is the Chaos Machine, with the Chaos Goblin in Noria (Wings tab). If you already own wings, you keep them.
Class 1 Wings need an Enchanted Feather, a new rare item: it drops from bosses of levels 56 to 100 (12%), from golden monsters of the Crystal Cave, the Forgotten Crypt, the Fiery Abyss and the Celestial Plateau (2%) and, once in a long while, from the regular monsters of those maps. No shop sells it. With it, a Chaos Jewel and up to 5 items at +4 with an option, the chance goes up to 60%. On a failure the items return to +0 and the feather, the jewels and the Zen are lost.
Then the wings go up a class, each step harder: Class 2 with the Dark Phoenix Feather (up to 45%), the Condor Feather made from Class 2 Wings +9 (up to 40%) and Class 3 with the Condor Feather and the Condor Flame (up to 30%). The Dark Lord follows the same path and gets the cape of the same level.
Stats are unchanged: names, damage, absorption, required level and price stay the same. If you already own wings you see the new drawing as soon as you log in, and other players see your new wings too. The Dark Lord's cape stays the same.
