Portal War: the Guard of Lumen asks for your help

Every 2 hours the game picks the open map with the most heroes hunting (never the village, safe zones, houses or the VIP arenas) and warns every player 3 minutes before. A banner at the top of the screen shows the countdown.

At the set time, a blue portal opens near the heroes and the Guard of Lumen comes out: Captain Lyra, two Guard Soldiers, the Guard Archer and the Guard Mage. They have green names and life bars, fight on their own and talk to you in speech bubbles. You cannot attack them, not even by accident.

A few steps away the dark portal opens. Three waves of that map's own monsters come out, each bigger than the last (and bigger when there are more heroes). The next wave comes when the previous one is almost all defeated. The wave monsters give normal XP and drops, and the Guard's help does not take your XP as long as you deal at least half of the damage.

After the third wave the Horde General arrives, a new boss with a giant axe and an area strike. Defeating the General is the victory: every hero who fought gets extra XP and the General leaves boss loot on the ground.

If the whole Guard falls, if 15 minutes pass or if nobody stays on the map, the war is lost and the monsters go back through the portal.

The pictures below were taken in the game itself, on a test server, with a test hero.
